Our seventh episode features live performances at The Moon in Tallahassee on July 15 and our tour of Ireland during the month of August 2012.

THE SONGWRITERS  The Currys http://www.reverbnation.com/thecurrys The Currys are a home-grown acoustic folk trio born and bred in the Florida panhandle. Incorporating elements of country, bluegrass, blues, and rock, the Currys' music showcases thoughtful songwriting, unassuming instrumentation, and mellifluous vocal harmonies. The band was formed when brothers Jimmy and Tommy Curry met one another over breakfast in June 2006 and agreed that they really ought to take advantage of the fact that they shared both a last name and a living room. They started playing locally over the summers during high school and college. In the summer of 2007, talented cousin Galen Curry (who may or may not be a blood relative) was asked to fill in for the band's non-existent lead kazoo player, and the rest is history. Hearn  Rick Ott http://www.reverbnation.com/rickott Rick Ott has performed as an electric and acoustic guitarist since the early 1970's. He fronts a 3 piece electric band and performs as a solo acoustic as well. As a songwriter, his lyrics are gripping with heartfelt emotion of life's experiences with family, love and the spirit realm as they wind around each note of his guitar. As owner of From The Heart Recording Studio in Sopchoppy, Florida, he is a well respected studio engineer and producer. He is teaming up with Mimi Hearn as a duo for From The Heart Music Hour Episode 7 at the Moon and Ireland 2012 tour.  ZACH BARTHOLOMEW TRIO http://zbjazz.com The Zach Bartholomew Trio is a fresh, young group devoted to bringing swinging, straight-ahead jazz to the ears of listeners. They have a wide repertoire that ranges from the classic jazz standards to daring originals. The ZBT has been performing together since the spring of 2009. Their sound comes from a lineage of great jazz trios that they've studied: The Ahmad Jamal Trio, The Oscar Peterson Trio, The Bill Evans Trio, The Brad Mehldau Trio, and The Marcus Roberts Trio. Recently, ZBT recorded their debut album "Out Of This Town" at From The Heart Recording Studio in Sopchoppy, Florida and the Trio will join From The Heart Music Hour at The Moon show in Tallahassee, Florida.  Brook Sessions http://www.brooksessionsmusic.com Brook is an up and coming young recording artist who blends the sounds of country, soul and rock. She is presently working on her first album with Rick Ott at "From the Heart Records." Although Brook is only 16 years old, her powerful voice leaves her listeners amazed. Currently, Brook is recording her debut album at From The Heart Recording Studio in Sopchoppy, Florida and is joining From The Heart Music Hour at The Moon show in Tallahassee, Florida. |
